This work presents lessons on public international law, delivered by a group of Argentine educators using their own distinct style and methodology. The aim is to introduce students to the subject matter, deepen the analysis of specific topics, and provide insights to facilitate understanding.

Each chapter addresses theoretical issues without overlooking practical application. Consequently, there is constant reference to relevant case law, citing recent decisions by international tribunals. Furthermore, the book includes over fifty diagrams, illustrations, and charts designed to simplify the understanding of complex topics.

Emphasis has also been placed on Argentine practice, with special attention given to issues relevant to the country—topics not always covered in standard international law textbooks—such as territorial and boundary disputes involving the Argentine Republic, the regulation of international watercourses and shared water resources, foreign investment litigation, and the treatment of State immunities (both by Argentina and by other States in cases against it). Additionally, a significant portion of the book is dedicated to the law of the sea, reflecting Argentina’s extensive participation in international bodies and forums, as well as its role in the evolution and development of this branch of international law.

The added value of this work lies in the fact that each chapter has been carefully crafted in light of current discussions taking place across the various arenas where subjects of international law operate.

For all these reasons, this book is an essential addition to any comprehensive legal library.
